After her move to Los Angeles, Anderson decided to bleach her hair from brunette to blonde and later, she underwent breast augmentation. In 1991, she landed a minor role on the hit television sitcom, Home Improvement (1991-1997). She was a revolutionary of sorts when it came to personal appearance enhancement. Her decision for breast augmentation was a radical one and she earned brick bats and bouquets in equal amounts.
